Privacy Policy

We're straight up about your data - here's how we handle it

Look, we get it - nobody actually likes reading privacy policies. But here at Blaze Thornspire Fitness, we're not about hiding anything from you. We train hard, fight fair, and that goes for how we handle your personal info too. This policy breaks down exactly what we collect, why we need it, and what we do with it. No corporate jargon, just real talk.

When you join our tribe, we need some basics to get you started:

  • Personal Details: Your name, email, phone number, address - the usual stuff so we can reach you about classes and your membership.
  • Health Info: Yeah, we ask about injuries, medical conditions, fitness goals. It's not nosiness - we need to know if you've got a bum knee before we put you through combat drills.
  • Payment Data: Credit card info, billing address. We process this through secure payment systems (we don't actually store your full card details on our end).
  • Usage Data: What classes you book, when you check in, how often you're crushing those HIIT sessions. Helps us figure out what's working and what's not.
  • Communications: Emails, messages, feedback you send us. If you've got beef with something or want to tell us we're awesome, we keep that on file.

We only grab what we actually need - no random data mining going on here.

Here's the deal with what we do with your info:

  • Running Your Membership: Processing payments, scheduling classes, managing your account. Basic gym operations stuff.
  • Keeping You Safe: Using your health info to make sure our trainers know about any limitations. Last thing we want is someone getting hurt because we didn't know about their condition.
  • Communication: Sending class updates, schedule changes, new programs we're rolling out. We'll also hit you up for renewals and payment reminders.
  • Personalization: Your nutrition coach needs to know your goals. Your trainer wants to track your progress. We use your data to make your experience better.
  • Improving Our Services: Looking at attendance patterns, popular classes, feedback. Helps us decide if we should add more MMA sessions or switch up the Combat Cardio format.
  • Legal Stuff: Sometimes we gotta keep records for tax purposes, liability coverage, or if there's a legal requirement. It's boring but necessary.

We're not selling your email to spammers or using your data for shady purposes. Period.

We protect your data like we protect our training methods - seriously and thoroughly:

  • Encryption: Your data's encrypted both when it's moving around and when it's sitting in our systems. Think of it like a locked safe.
  • Secure Servers: We use professional-grade hosting with firewalls, regular security updates, and monitoring. Not some sketchy setup in someone's basement.
  • Limited Access: Only staff who actually need your info can see it. Your front desk person doesn't need your payment details, and your trainer doesn't need your full address.
  • Regular Backups: We backup everything regularly in case something goes wrong. Your membership history isn't disappearing if a server crashes.
  • Payment Security: We use PCI-compliant payment processors. Your credit card info goes through the same security banks use.

No system's 100% bulletproof, but we're doing everything reasonable to keep your stuff locked down. If there's ever a breach, we'll let you know ASAP - no covering it up.

We're not in the business of passing around your personal info, but there are a few situations where we might share it:

  • Service Providers: Payment processors, email platforms, scheduling software - the tools we use to run the gym. They only get what they need to do their job, and they're bound by their own privacy policies.
  • Legal Requirements: If the law says we gotta hand over info (court orders, warrants, legal proceedings), we'll comply. We're not getting in trouble for you, sorry.
  • Emergency Situations: If there's a medical emergency and paramedics need to know about your health conditions, we're sharing that. Your safety trumps privacy in those moments.
  • Business Transfers: If we ever sell the gym or merge with another facility, your membership data would transfer to keep things running smoothly for you.
  • With Your Permission: If you ask us to share something (like sending your progress reports to your doctor), we'll do that.

We're never selling your data to advertisers or random companies. That's not how we operate.

Our website uses cookies - not the tasty kind, unfortunately:

  • Essential Cookies: These keep you logged in, remember your preferences, make the site actually work. Can't really turn these off if you want to use the site.
  • Analytics Cookies: We track stuff like which pages people visit, how long they stick around, where they click. Helps us figure out if our website sucks or not.
  • Marketing Cookies: If you see our ads elsewhere online, that's these cookies at work. They remember you visited our site so we can remind you to come back.

You can disable most cookies through your browser settings, but some features might not work right. We're also not tracking you across the entire internet or building some creepy profile - just trying to run a decent website.

We don't use those annoying pop-ups that track your every move. We keep it reasonable.

It's your data, so you've got rights. Here's what you can do:

  • Access: Want to see what info we have on you? Just ask. We'll send you a copy of everything we're holding.
  • Correction: If something's wrong (we spelled your name wrong, got your address mixed up), let us know and we'll fix it.
  • Deletion: Want us to delete your data? We can do that after your membership ends. While you're active, we need some stuff to run your account, but we'll dump what we legally can.
  • Opt-Out: Don't want marketing emails? Unsubscribe anytime. You'll still get important stuff about your membership, but no promotional content.
  • Data Portability: Need your data for another gym or service? We'll give you a copy in a usable format.
  • Restrict Processing: You can ask us to limit how we use your data in certain situations. We'll work with you on it.

To exercise any of these rights, just shoot us an email at info@blazethornspire.info or give us a call. We'll handle it within 30 days, usually faster.

We use some external services to keep things running:

  • Payment Processors: Your credit card gets processed through secure third-party systems. They've got their own privacy policies (usually pretty tight since they handle money).
  • Email Services: We use email platforms to send newsletters and updates. They see your email address but that's about it.
  • Scheduling Software: Class bookings go through scheduling tools. They need basic info to make reservations work.
  • Analytics Tools: Google Analytics and similar services help us understand website traffic. They collect anonymous data about visitors.
  • Social Media: If you interact with us on Facebook, Instagram, etc., those platforms have their own data policies we don't control.

We pick reputable companies and make sure they're not doing anything sketchy with your info. But once data's with them, their privacy policies apply too.

If you click links to other websites from ours, you're leaving our space and entering theirs - we're not responsible for their privacy practices.

Privacy laws change, our operations evolve, technology updates - sometimes we need to tweak this policy. When we do:

  • We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
  • If it's a big change that affects how we use your data, we'll send you an email or post a notice at the gym
  • For minor updates (fixing typos, clarifying language), we'll just update the page
  • You can always check back here to see the current version

Continuing to use our services after changes means you're cool with the updated policy. If you're not okay with changes, you can close your account - we won't hold it against you.
